Armed For Apocalypse - Defeat - Album Review

My next door neighbor is such a cowardly little ginger gimp who acts like he is in the 7th grade and is desperately seeking a beat down. No balls what so ever on this boy-man and nothing brings me more pleasure then firing up the auditory brutality at a level that could only be driving that "methed" out pussy totally insane. Armed For Apocalypse's album, Defeat, is the perfect weapon to get this highly immature gesture done in the utmost fashion. Damn this shit is tight! Thrashy, yet sludgy, and completely devoid of any filler bullshit. Armed For Apocalypse has a sound that is comparable to bands like Crowbar, The Abominable Iron Sloth, and The Sword. But these bad asses from Chico, California are in a league of their own.

Just like my annoyance with modern zombies that run and leap like gazelles, I have about reached my boiling point with your standard "breakdown." Defeat offers slowed down tempos that bring fresh air into my marijuana filled room. Just take a listen to the song "We Fell From The Bottom." At approximately the 1 minute and 50 second mark you will be hit in the groin so hard that your nuts will fall out of your mouth as soon as you take in this tooth grinding breakdown.

I have had this album jamming at an ear deafening level for thirty minutes now, and that boy-man still hasn't reared his pathetic face. Damn (sigh). So if you need that inspiration to destroy any opposition that may stand in your way, then mentally prepare yourself with the sounds of Armed For Apocalypse. Defeat will have ready to pulverize any and all obstacles. Or if you just want to rock the fuck out on your way to your bullshit job, this album will make you feel more capable of dealing with your incompetent dick weed boss for the next 8 hours. Check it.

Defeat is available on 9/15

Score 6.9/10
